Devotional Gatherings

PrintE-mail

CandleDevotional Gatherings' are regularly scheduled meeting times of collective worship - the exaltation of God - and sharing a devotional spirit of joy, love and fellowship. Readings are taken from the Bahá'í Writings and the Holy Scriptures of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Zoroastrian, and Buddhism.

Participants are often encouraged to bring their prayer book, Bahá'í Scripture, Bible, Qur'án, Torah, and selections of other Sacred Writings to share and prayer requests are often honored. The musical selections are diverse -- coming from a variety of cultures and styles including Gospel, Classical, folk, Latin, and others -- all contributing to an embracing and joyous experience.

There is no established ritual, no request for funds, and light refreshments are often served. All are welcome to bring their Holy Book and join in the exaltation of God. Also, special prayer requests for assistance, health, the departed, and requests are honored and remembered.

All are always warmly welcomed!

Please contact a community near you for their next Devotional Gathering.
